The YYSO Governing Committee (GC) is an all-volunteer group of YYSO and YES! parents, friends and community members. We convene monthly for governance meetings and are responsible for all of the nuts and bolts of ensuring that YYSO and YES! run smoothly — from negotiating contracts for performance and rehearsal space to fundraising, grant writing, finance, concert logistics, student recruitment and retention, relationships with private teachers and schools and community outreach. We are part of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra.
